Section 16-26. Assault and Battery: Defined, Prohibited.
- An assault is any willful and unlawful attempt or offer with force or violence to do a corporal hurt to another.
- A battery is any willful and unlawful use of force or violence upon the person of another.
- It is unlawful to commit an assault or an assault and battery within the Town, and any person committing an assault or an assault and battery within the Town shall be guilty of an offense.
