Section 10-1. Masculine to Include Feminine and Neuter.
Words used in the masculine gender in this code or in other ordinances of the municipality include the feminine and neuter unless a contrary intention plainly appears.
Section 10-2. Singular Number to Include Plural and Vice Versa.
Words used in the singular number in this code or in other ordinances of the municipality include the plural, and the plural the singular, except where a contrary intention plainly appears.
Section 10-3. Words and Phrases Defined.
The following words and phrases, when used in this code or in other ordinances of the municipality, shall have meanings respectively prescribed herein below unless the context clearly indicates a different meaning;
- City, Municipality, or Town. Means the Town of Tryon, Oklahoma
- Clerk, clerk of the municipality, or Town Clerk. Means the Town Clerk of the Town of Tryon, Oklahoma.
- Corporation counsel. Means the Town Attorney of the Town of Tryon, Oklahoma.
- Council, governing body, or Board of Trustees. Means the Board of Trustees of the Town of Tryon, Oklahoma.
- Mayor, chief executive officer, or president of the Board of Trustees. Means the president of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Tryon, Oklahoma.
- Person. Means a human being, firm, association, corporation, trustee, executor, administrator, government agency, or other legal entity.
- Police, chief of, or police chief. Means the Police Chief of the Town of Tryon, Oklahoma.
- Treasurer, treasurer of the municipality, or Town Treasurer. Means the Town Treasurer of the Town of Tryon, Oklahoma.
